One of the city’s richest and most fascinating places.
The Castello Sforzesco is today one of Milan’s most important sights. Through its history, it has suffered under the Dukes of Milan and under foreign dominion, and has been enriched and restored. It was not until the nineteenth century that it became a place of culture, designated as the home of many important examples of Lombard art with its permanent exhibitions, such as the Museum of Antiquities, the Egyptian Museum and the Prehistoric Museum.
