“EXCELLENT BREAKFASTS AND SERVICE”
4 su 5 stelle Recensito 2 giorni fa
We stayed for 3 nights in late September.Close to rail station for connections.
A bit far from the old city attractions, but still walkable + a metro station is close by. Mini-bar well stocked and free with soft drinks and water.
Room very clean and modern, in fact a bit quirky! Not a fan of rain showers in small shower enclosures but had a hand shower as well. Staff exceptionally welcoming and friendly.
Best breakfast spread of all the 8 hotels we stayed at in Italy, despite others costing a lot more.
Rooms quiet due to new double glazed windows.
Pre arrival option on internet to tailor room to suit your needs.
Even sent a birthday wish a few weeks before we arrived – a special touch.
Take staff’s restaurant recommendations and don’t get caught out by local ‘tourist’ restaurants.
Definitely a strong recommendation
“Very positive experience, as expected :-)”

I booked Berna hotel based on its very good reviews and I was not dissapointed. It was a very positive experience from the very first moment I entered the reception. I checked in very quickly and efficiently, I also received all the required information without a need to ask; city map, wifi code, etc.
Room was very nice, maybe not too big but enough. One wall is a big mirror which enlarges the room visually. Overall very nice room design.
Bathroom with bathtub (something exceptional - usually there is a shower only) but if You like shower, voila - there is a separate tap and shower installation for shower lovers :-)
You also get number of towels, slippers and a bathrobe and a different from everywhere shampoo and soap bottles.
All these together with room which can be customized makes you feel almost like home. And you can drink from the minibar for free - another exceptional item.
Breakfast was fantastic - a big choice, very good service, high quality. Never had creme caamel for breakfast before.
Hotel location is great - 5 minutes walk from the Milano Centrale train station. It takes about one hour walk to get to Duome on foot. You can also buy tickets in the hotel reception. 24 or 48 hours' tickets are a good choice if you are staying for short time only. They are valid for the mentioned time from the time of first validation. Close to hotel there is an old fashion style tram number 1 which will take you to Duomo.
From the train station you can get to Malpensa Airport in 1 hour.
To summarize; I am definitely recommending this hotel. It was great from very beginning to the very end of our stay.
I want to thank to all Hotel Staff - it is your work and positive attitude what makes people happy - Thank You.
If I visit Milan again, I will definitely stay wit You again!

I was here with my wife and this is the best hotel that we have stayed in.Perfect location just 5 minutes walk from the airport bus, 50 meters to the subwayb and a couple of nice restuarants in walking distans. The room was very fresh, clean and well equiped. The breakfast was superb with everything that you could wish for. If you didn't found it on the bufe tha staff were willing to help you.

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed in the building across the street, very quiet. Hotel is well situated just a short walk from the train station , about 20- 25 min. from the Duomo and fashion shopping. The breakfast was great, lots of choice. What makes this hotel really stand out is the quality of the staff. So helpful in every way, friendly, could not seem to do enough to make it a pleasant stay. Highly recommend it.

I stayed here for 3 nights - their attention to detail was superb and other hotels could learn from them. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Pre-stay information was really useful and the location was convenient being close to metro and the central railway station with the city centre a short 20 minute walk away.

We decided to stay at the Hotel Berna for a number of reasons; price, distance from Central station and trip advisor rating. For a 4 star Milan City centre hotel, bed and breakfast is very reasonable, especially if you book through Expedia, via topcashback. It is only a 3 - 4 minute walk from central station where the Bergamo airport transfers terminate and as we had a late flight from Manchester it was ideal. Finally, at the time of booking was rated #7 on trip advisor.
The check-in was fast and efficient and we were in our room in no time. First impressions were that the room was a little on the small side but this was insignificant as it was clean and very well equipped complete with free soft drink mini bar and complimentary rubber duck! We were on the ground floor and it was quiet, despite the building work in the vicinity. The shutters on the windows block out any light preventing you from waking up prematurely.
The hotel bar is fab! It is well stocked with a wide variety of drinks, reasonably priced and a constant supply of complimentary snacks is also provided. Mas the barman is very friendly and an invaluable source of local knowledge (restaurants, sights etc), humour and he can't do enough to help.
Breakfast is the most incredible we've ever had!! At no other hotel have we ever had the choice of 9 different cakes, 5 different stuffed croissants, bacon, eggs, juices, fruits, salads, meats, cheeses, breads, teas, coffees, milk shakes.... I could go on and on. The breakfast staff are great and again, can't do enough to help. If by some chance what you fancy isn't out, they will go out of their way to provide it and also make sure it is there the following day for you.
As I mentioned earlier, the hotel is in a great location, only a couple of minutes walk from the central train station where most airport transfers terminate. It is a reasonable walk to the city centre and the hop on, hop off sightseeing tour stops at the end of the street.
The hotel is incredibly quirky, without being over the top. The decor is bright and colourful, smiley face sweets when you lift your cup up in the morning, cakes on you pillow when you arrive - all lovely little touches.
We stayed for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary and it couldn't have been better. I'm sure that if you looked hard enough, you could find something not to your liking, but for me and my wife, it was like being welcomed into a large Italian family and being made to feel very welcome and comfortable.
When we arrived home, I was greeted by a " hope you enjoyed your stay" email and a 10% of your next stay discount code - first class!! We will defiantly return to the Hotel Berna, maybe not to stop in Milan, but to use it as a base to explore more of this wonderful country.

Nice hotel, comfortable numbers, fine linen and mattress. In total for comfortable rest after city and shopping survey))) However, I want to notice that in number bad sound insulation. I woke up at night from noise of throwing-up water, thought that problems from my bathroom, it appeared, it above used a toilet. As conversations and calls are audible. My number settled down on the first floor and was audible as people go by my windows. Blinds couldn't be opened too. The personnel a reception isn't too qualified, however is kind. The area where the hotel unpleasant settles down is an area near the station, there around there are a lot of bums and in the evening I didn't feel on streets in safety. Here it is worth stopping if you travel by train. despite my request for the early settlement the hotel didn't consider it possible (5 more hours were unpleasant after a trip by train to wait for settling though they and keep your things in a left-luggage office) the Breakfast is fine. Convenient function of the order of additional pillows, blankets and another. I consider the price for accommodation in this hotel overestimated.
